Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar

No other complication has been the star of the Big Pilot's Watch dial as often as the perpetual calendar, developed by Kurt Klaus in the 1980s. The mechanism, with its numerous displays, not only stands out particularly effectively on the large dial, but also makes the calendar information very easy to read. The Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar features a stainless steel case, a blue dial, rhodium-plated hands, and a blue calfskin strap. The perpetual calendar recognizes the different lengths of the months and leap years and only requires correction in 2100. Constructed from only around 80 individual parts, the calendar module is powered by a single nightly switching impulse from the IWC-manufactured caliber 52615. Highly stressed components of the Pellaton winding system are made of virtually wear-free ceramic. Two mainspring barrels provide a power reserve of seven days when fully wound. The transparent sapphire crystal case back allows a view of the elaborately decorated in-house movement.
