Ingenieur Automatic 40

One of the main characters in Apple Original Films' F1® is Sonny Hayes, a former racing driver who returns to Formula 1™ alongside his young teammate Joshua Pearce. In the film, Sonny Hayes wears a watch based on the historic Ingenieur SL, reference 1832, featuring a striking dial in Sonny's signature green. This prop watch served as the inspiration for a special edition Ingenieur. Limited to 1,000 pieces, the Ingenieur Automatic 40 with a stainless steel case and bracelet features a green "grid" dial and gold hands and appliqués—a similar color code and combination worn by the film's character Sonny Hayes. The gold hands and gold-plated appliqués are filled with Super-LumiNova® for perfect legibility in all lighting conditions. A signature design feature of the Ingenieur is its signature bezel, which is secured to the case ring with five functional screws. The integrated bracelet with butterfly clasp is connected to the case via the center links, offering exceptional wearing comfort. The Ingenieur Automatic 40 is powered by the IWC-manufactured caliber 32111 with a 120-hour power reserve and is water-resistant to 10 bar. In the best engineering tradition, a soft-iron inner case shields the movement from magnetic fields.
