Guide to Sapphire Jewellery

Blue sapphires have been one of the most popular coloured gemstones for many years. And did you know that sapphire is, in fact, the birthstone for September? We’ve picked out some of our favourite pieces from our sapphire jewellery collection.

Sapphire Rings

Sapphire dress rings have been a popular choice as both an engagement ring and dress ring. Blue sapphires are most commonly set in white gold or even platinum, to ensure the blue colour isn’t tainted by another coloured metal. Sapphire is a versatile stone, and with a ranking of 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, it is durable enough for regular wear. Sapphires have been a long-standing favourite amongst royalty, with one of the most well-known sapphire rings belonging Lady Diana, now worn by Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.
